- Google launched Gemini 1.5 on Feb 15, 2024, which transcends all other models with a 128K token window with the capability to support up to 1 million tokens per context window.
- Gemini 1.5 use-cases: Research over a very large amount of data processing by LLM including 1 hour of video, 11 hours of audio, codebases with over 30,000 lines of code or over 700,000 words
- Google launched Gemini models (Ultra, Pro, and Nano) in Dec 2023. Gemini Ultra outperformed MMLU (massive multitask language understanding), which uses 50+ subject areas.
- Google Gemini is emerging as one of the most competitive multi-model offerings, and models are available via Google Cloud Vertex AI.

#2 – Microsoft’s Copilot Pro with AI-powered Product Suite

#3 – OpenAI launches Sora and GPT Store
- OpenAI launched a text-to-video model, Sora. Sora is capable of generating entire videos all at once or extending generated videos to make them longer (Source: OpenAI).
- OpenAI launched GPT Store in Jan 2024 as a marketplace to create a custom version of ChatGPT and there are now over 3 million versions of it. It requires a subscription to GPT Plus.

#4 – Amazon Expands Bedrock Features & Partnership
- Amazon launched Bedrock in 2023 and Knowledge Bases for Amazon Bedrock during the re:Invent 2023, which augments Generative AI Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications. #5 – Gen AI Emerging Players Launches Competitive Offerings
- Cohere, a Canadian startup firm, launched Aya LLM, which covers more than 100 languages.
- NVIDIA is not only leading the GPU arena but also has launched AI software and tools such as the AI Workbench toolkit for developers, AI Chatbot Chat with RTX, NVIDIA NeMo Framework as an end-to-end, cloud-native framework to build, customize, and deploy generative AI models, and NVIDIA AI Enterprise as an end-to-end, cloud-native software platform for data scientists.
